2011 Hyundai Verna takes styling cues from the Hyundai Sonata. The 2011 Hyundai Verna was first unveiled in the Beijing Auto Show and expected to hit the market at the early part of the year 2011. But, Hyundai has not issued statement on the official pricing information of the 2011Hyundai Verna yet.

Featuring all-aluminium construction for weight-saving, 2011 Hyundai Verna is powered by a 1.6L DOHC Gamma engine that outputs 90.4Kw at 6300rpm and 155Nm of peak torque at 4200rpm. The 2011 Hyundai Verna is also offered with a smaller 1.4L DOHC engine that develops 78.7Kw at 6300rpm and 135.4Nm of torque at 5000rpm. the gearbox choices offered by the 2011 Hyundai Verna include a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic. The most economic version of the 2011 Hyundai Verna, the 1.4-liter model, has a 5.7l/100km fuel consumption with the manual gearbox and 6.2l/100km with the automatic.

Hyundai has finally unveiled its Verna, which is being touted as the successor to its Accent entry sedan, at the Beijing Auto Show. The Hyundai Verna is due for a facelift for quite sometime now and it will make its grand entrance in 2010-11. The new generation Verna will feature a Gamma gasoline engine with multiport fuel injection.

Hyundai has developed this car specifically for the Chinese market. And it is likely to go on sale at the end of this year. Spokesman Oles Gadacz has revealed that the US market will get a modified version of this car, but he declines to give an idea about the timeline for the launch. But it is almost certain that the subcompact car will be redesigned for the 2011 or 2012 model year.

Hyundai has stressed on three important things while designing the Verna: power, performance and fuel efficiency. Powering the new Hyundai Verna would be the new generation Gamma gasoline engine, featuring multiport fuel injection. In China, the Verna will be launched in 1.6 litre and 1.4 litre petrol engine variants. While the 1.4 litre gamma, available with a five-speed manual gearbox or four-speed automatic, pumps up 106 Bhp and 135 Nm of torque, the 1.6 litre petrol engine, paired with a smooth-shifting four-speed automatic transmission, produces a maximum power of 121 Bhp and 155Nm of torque.

New Hyundai VernaHyundai Verna is built on a new low-floor platform and sloping roofline, both of which enhance its aerodynamics and fuel economy. Hyundai has made use of ultra high-tensile steel which enhances the stiffness in handling and better crash protection of the car.

Verna has got a longer wheelbase (101.2-inch) and a low roofline which give the car a very stylish look, without compromising on the cabin space. The boot of the car has a capacity of 454L can easily store as many as four golf bags along with three small tote bags. So Hyundai scores another point here.

Hyundai has not revealed any information regarding diesel engine Verna. But as we know Hyundai, we can expect a common rail diesel engine to be featured in the new Verna.

The subcompact will be sold as Verna across the globe, except the US, where it will be known as the Hyundai Accent.

The new Verna will be manufactured at Hyundai’s high-tech Beijing plant from July and will go on sale in the second half of this year. The new car will be launched first in the Chinese market, and will gradually be introduced in other markets. The new Verna will hit the Indian roads later this year and will be competing with sedans like Fiat Linea and Honda City.

latest nisaan cars features

Nissan has unveiled the all-new Juke, an intriguing “part SUV, part sports car” which the Japanese car maker hopes will provide a funky alternative to the run-of-the-mill hatchback.
2011 nissan juke 2011 Nissan juke review
Developed from the Qazana concept car and following in the footsteps of the Murano and Dualis models, the Juke was designed in London at the Nissan Design Europe (NDE) and refined at Nissan’s Design Centre (NDC) in Japan.
Nissan’s position as the pioneer of Crossovers is further strengthened by the arrival of Juke. Part SUV, part sports car, Juke breathes new life into the traditionally conservative B-segment of the market, providing buyers with a funky alternative to the conventional urban hatchback.

Combining the best elements of an SUV and a sports car, the lower portion of the Juke with its chunky wheels, wide tyres, extended ground clearance and a robust stance is all SUV. The top portion, however, boasts a high waistline, slim visor-like side glass graphics and a coupé-style falling roofline – all the hallmarks of a sports car.
The interior of the Juke boasts a sports car theme with the motorcycle full tank inspired centre console design finished in a distinctive high gloss colour taking centre stage.

Available in front-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations, the part SUV, part sports car will be available with three different engines: one diesel and two 1.6-litre petrol units. The top-of-the-range mill is a turbo-charged unit with direct injection and develops a class-leading 140 kW and 240 Nm.

Quote:
“Juke brings a sense of adventure to the car market. It’s light, nimble, urban, reactive: qualities designed to grab a younger audience. It offers something entirely different to the traditional B-segment vehicles and cements Nissan as a car maker prepared to do something different.” Andy Palmer, Senior Vice President, Product Planning, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd

At a glance
* Compact SUV meets sports car to challenge small car traditions
* Developed from Qazana concept car
* Tough on the streets yet agile and athletic
* Powerful new turbocharged direct injection petrol engine
* New torque vectoring all-wheel drive system
* Technologically advanced information system
* Conceived in Europe for a global audience
* Built in Britain at Nissan’s Sunderland plant

Overview
Nissan is set to change the urban landscape… for the third time. Following in the wheeltracks of the Murano large crossover and then the successful Qashqai – the car that three years ago introduced the concept of a crossover as an alternative to the traditional C-segment hatchback – comes its younger brother, the Nissan Juke.
Designed to bring a breath of fresh air to the B-segment, Juke is a distinctive combination of SUV toughness and sporting style. Conceived to inject some masculinity and dynamism into the small car market, Juke combines a number of seeming contradictions beneath its highly individual lines.
“It takes the best elements of an SUV and sports car and combines them,” says Pierre Loing, Vice President, Product Planning, Nissan Europe. “It’s roomy yet compact, robust yet dynamic and practical yet playful. These are qualities that seem to contradict each other, yet come together in Juke to create something that’s genuinely unique.”
Juke was created at Nissan Design Europe (NDE) in the heart of London, and refined at Nissan’s Design Centre (NDC) in Japan. Principle engineering took place in Japan with significant European input and Juke will be built in Nissan’s factory in Sunderland in the north-east of England.
“The design shows real optimism. By combining design elements from two genres to create a small, but striking Crossover that displays a genuine confidence and style. And those are qualities we also expect to find in a Juke customer,” said Shiro Nakamura, Senior Vice President for Design and Chief Creative Officer
From a design standpoint, the lower portion of Juke is pure SUV, with chunky wheels, wide tyres, extended ground clearance and a robust stance. But the top portion is unadulterated sports car, with a high waistline, slim visor-like side glass graphics and a coupé-style falling roofline. The coupé effect is further underlined by the rear doors which have their handles hidden in the frame of the door.
Inside, the sports car theme continues with a driver-focused cabin dominated by a centre console design inspired by a motorcycle fuel tank. Finished in a distinctive high gloss colour, the ‘bike’ console adds a sense of fun to the car. Practicality is assured by the rear-opening hatch and versatile luggage area with hidden storage opportunities.
Based on the Renault Nissan Alliance B platform, Juke has a 2530mm wheelbase. On front-wheel drive versions, suspension is by MacPherson struts at the front with a torsion beam at the rear while four-wheel drive models have a multi-link rear suspension modelled on the system found on Qashqai.
The ALL-MODE 4×4-i is a new development of Nissan’s respected electronic all-wheel drive system and now features torque vectoring technology to enhance agility and reduce understeer when cornering.
In Europe, three different engines will be available when sales start later in the year (UK sales begin in October): one diesel and two 1.6-litre petrol units, all fully Euro 5 compliant. At the top of the range is a new turbo-charged petrol engine (MR16DDT) with direct injection. The engine is one of the most powerful in its class, developing 140kW (190PS) and 240 Nm. The combination of direct injection with a turbocharger provides the power and responses expected from a 2.5-litre engine with the economy of a smaller engine.
The second petrol engine is a newly developed version from Nissan’s trusted HR-family. Designated HR16DE, the lightweight, low-friction 16-valve unit now has a unique dual injection system allowing finer metering of the fuel sprays for better combustion and develops 86kW (117PS). The K9K 81kW (110PS) 1.5-litre dCi common rail diesel offers excellent driveability – thanks as much to its heady 240 Nm of torque – with good economy and emissions.
In terms of transmissions, the two-wheel drive turbo-charged 1.6-litre petrol engine is available with a six speed manual, while a CVT transmission with a six-speed manual mode will be available on the range-topping all-wheel drive version of the turbo-charged petrol engine.
The naturally aspirated 1.6-litre petrol is available either with a 5-speed manual or the updated XTRONIC CVT and the 1.5-litre diesel engine is available with a 6-speed manual.
Trim and equipment options will follow the established Visia, Acenta and Tekna lines while a full range of accessories has been developed for owners who want to personalise their Juke still further.
“Juke is not a traditional B-segment car, and that is quite deliberate. It was born in an urban environment and that is where it will spend most of its life. Fittingly, its combination of agility and toughness make it one of the most streetwise cars around.
“Juke joins Murano and Qashqai to cement Nissan’s position as the leading brand in the crossover market,” said Simon Thomas, Nissan’s European Senior Vice President for Sales and Marketing.

latest toyota camry features

toyota camry show1 The Toyota Camry from Toyota which is elegant and modern
when Toyota replaced its old rear-wheel-drive with front wheel drive Corona, Camry, a car designed specifically for the U.S. market. From these humble beginnings, the Camry has dominated the segment, midsize sedan family for virtually all next quarter century, as consumers immediately embraced it for its high quality construction of the ride, comfort and impressive durability.
Initially available only with four-cylinder engine, the Camry, soon saw the option of a V6, and as the years pass, upgrades in luxury, size and content of appeal. The immense popularity in the U.S. inspired Camry Toyota opened a manufacturing plant in Georgetown, Kentucky, in late 1980. More trim levels became available, including SE and XLE luxury sport.
It still retains its strong reputation despite a few recent blips on the radar screen in terms of reliability, the Toyota Camry remains the ideal choice for those seeking a spacious family car, comfortable and reliable.

Current Toyota Camry
The latest Toyota Camry is offered only as a front-wheel drive, four-door sedan of medium size. Four trim levels are offered traditional Camry: base, LE XLE, sporty SE and luxury. Even the base model includes stability control, air conditioning, full power accessories, cruise control, tilt steering wheel-and-telescopic system of a six-speaker CD audio, radio, satellite and Bluetooth.
The 169-horsepower 2.5-liter inline-4 engine is the base and the SE gets a 179 hp version of the same engine. A powerful 3.5-liter V6 (268 hp, 248 lb-ft of torque) is available on all trims except the base model. transmission options for the four are a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic (standard on the XLE), while the V6 sends its power through a standard six-speed automatic. A gas-electric hybrid Camry is also available, along with 192 hp, which gives EPA estimates of 33 mpg city and 34 mpg highway.
In review, we commented favorably about the Camry’s spacious cabin, powerful and fuel-efficient V6 optional, plush ride quality and test results of top accident. Disadvantages include Camry for the last few disappointing interior plastics, inconsistent fit and finish and uninspiring driving dynamics of non-SE models.

Toyota Camry models
The current Toyota Camry is the sixth generation, launched in 2011. For the first year, the basic model was known as the EC, but beyond that, the only significant changes occurred in 2011. Camrys built before that year had a standard 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that produced 159 hp – no special IF variation. The manual and automatic transmissions were also five speed units. Other changes for 2010 include a restyled grille and taillights, and additional features on all models, including stability control, satellite radio and Bluetooth.
2007Toyotacamryhybrid5

Toyota’s unveiling of the all-new 2011 Camry – the best-selling car in the U.S. for eight of the past nine years – was made all the more significant by the simultaneous debut of its hybrid version. Like its conventional brethren, the hybrid variant emerges an improved and ever-more stylish package with a focus on safety as well as efficiency, offering an array of standard safety features including anti-lock braking, electronic brake-force distribution, brake assist, and optional traction control. Plus, seven airbags come as a matter of course.
The Camry Hybrid features Toyota’s Hybrid Synergy Drive, in this application mating a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with a small, specially-developed electric drive motor for a combined output of 187 horsepower. This engine’s 147 hp is less than the non-hybrid four-cylinder because, like the engine in the Prius, it uses the lean-burning Atkinson cycle that reduces power but improves fuel consumption.

2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid Gauges

The hybrid system varies power between gas and electric, or both, as needed. EPA estimates place the Camry Hybrid’s fuel economy at 40 mpg in the city and 38 mpg on the highway, a marked improvement over the standard four-cylinder’s 24/34 mpg.
Other efficiency-enhancing features on the Camry Hybrid include a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and a driver selectable “ECO” button that limits energy consumption of the heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning system. Power-steering and air-conditioning systems are electrically driven rather than by a belt from the engine. Special attention was paid to the vehicle underbody with the use of wheel spats and underbelly pans, resulting in a low 0.27 coefficient of drag that does its part to help increase fuel economy.
In contrast to the performance-oriented Honda Accord Hybrid, Toyota is hoping the more efficiency-minded balance struck by the Camry Hybrid will resonate with today’s buyers. At a base price of $25,900 for all this goodness and high mpg, this may well be the case.

Rear Shot of the 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid
The Toyota Camry is the best-selling car in the US and very popular in many countries around the world (it recently passed the 10 million units sold mark). It is being completely redesigned for 2007 and a US-made hybrid version of the Camry will also be available. As we've mentioned it will come with a 4 cylinders engine unlike the Honda Accord hybrid. Until now, we knew little about the 2007 Camry and no photos were available, but Autoblog found a Japanese magazine that had some pictures and info (you can read the translated version here - apparently Google translates "Camry" to "back hole"). We learn that the new version will have a drag coefficient of 0.28 (the Prius, at 0.26, is one of the most "slippery" cars on the road) which should help it achieve good highway fuel economy, that the length of the new car is the same as the current version and that a 2.4 liters 4-cylinder engine of 167 hp will be available in the non-hybrid model. No word on a V6 yet. More photos below.

toyota-camry-new-02.jpg
toyota-camry-new-03.jpg
toyota-camry-new-04.jpg
It is fairly realistic to expect that it will be rated ULEV2 in emissions for the non-hybrid and AT-PZEV for the hybrid, but the big unknowns are if it will be a significant improvement on the current version in the fuel economy department, and if the hybrid version will sell well enough to truly bring hybrids to the mainstream.
Update.
