Rumors floating around since mid-summer that Chrysler would split the Dodge car and truck businesses into two separate units are now a reality. Chrysler Group LLC now consists of four brands: Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge Car and Dodge Ram. In early July after the latest iteration of Chrysler emerged from federal bankruptcy court, it was announced that the three existing brands would each get their own President and CEO with profit and loss responsibilities. As of today, only Michael Manley keeps his job as the boss of Jeep. Peter Fong, who had been put in charge of the Chrysler brand, has resigned for personal reasons and is being replaced by Lancia chief Olivier Francois who will also continue to oversee the Italian brand.
Former Dodge CEO and marketing boss Michael Accavitti is leaving Chrysler to pursue other activities, and the marketing group will now report to Francois. The Ram side of the business now falls to Fred Diaz Jr. (right), who also takes over the sales reigns from Fong. Product design SVP Ralph Gilles (left) now also has responsibility for Dodge cars. The automaker's car and truck units were apparently split in order to "... protect and develop the unique nature of the product offerings within the Dodge Brand," although it's not exactly clear what is meant by this. Latest mercedes-benz B150 car features
The overhaul over at Mercedes-Benz continues with the B-class becoming the latest model to receive a mid-life makeover from the German car maker.
The car that Mercedes calls the Compact Sports Tourer has been given a selection of upgraded engines featuring better efficiency as well as new aesthetics which includes a redesigned front-end (new grille design, new bumper etc.), new side mirrors and a redesigned rear (new bumper with chrome detailing and redesigned taillights)
The biggest changes are under the bonnet, however, with a choice of six engines now available - two direct-injection diesel units (80 kW and 103 kW) and four petrol engines with a peak power output of up to 142 kW (193 hp) and a maximum torque of 280Nm.
The full lineup available in Europe are: B150 and NGT (flex-fuel model), Turbo.

Mitsubishi Cars:
The 2011 Mitsubishi Eclipse lineup sees a few changes, including shrinking availability of a manual transmission. This sporty car comes as a 2-door hatchback coupe in GS, GS Sport, and GT trims. Also offered is the convertible Spyder in GS Sport and GT trims; these models have a power top with a heated glass rear window. GS and GS Sport have a 162-horsepower 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine. GTs have a 265-horsepower 3.8-liter V6. GS hatchbacks are available with a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission. The automatic is standard on the GS Sport. A 5-speed automatic is standard on the GT and GT Spyder; a manual transmission is no longer offered. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, curtain-side airbags (on coupes only), and front-side airbags. GS Sport and GT have a wireless cell-phone link, a sunroof, leather upholstery, and heated front seats. Remote engine start is optional on automatic-transmission models.

With this model, the Japanese automaker smooths the transition from a compact crossover to the full-sized Jeep SUV, which almost reaches full size Pajero (also known as Shogun and Montero in some markets), and recently updated Outlander mid-size car. Inspired by the 2007 Japanese firm concept “RVR” uses a global platform for mid-size car Mitsubishi, which also forms the basis for the Lancer and Mitsubishi Outlander.
In Japan, began selling a new compact crossover Mitsubishi RVR 2011 model year, which uses the platform of Lancer and Outlander. The car is offered to buyers in 8 colors. The Eclipse GT gets a 3.6-liter V6 good for 265 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque. A five-speed automatic is standard. This engine requires premium fuel and its estimated fuel economy is 16 mpg city/24 mpg highway and 19 mpg combined.
The 2011 Eclipse comes standard with four-wheel antilock brakes, stability control and front seat side airbags. The coupe features front side curtain airbags and the Spyder gets taller side airbags that cover occupants' heads. There are no rear head restraints. The Eclipse Spyder received the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's top rating of "Good" in both the frontal-offset and side crash tests.
Driving ImpressionsFor many drivers, the 2011 Mitsubishi Eclipse's driving dynamics may be a bit of a disappointment. The GT's V6 produces plenty of power, but getting all those horses to the pavement can often result in a large dose of wheelspin and torque steer. In contrast to the V6, the four-cylinder struggles with the Eclipse's heavy curb weight -- acceleration with the smaller engine could best be described as anemic.
